    The One-Year Workmanship Warranty

Every job carries a one-year workmanship warranty, in writing. If something we installed fails inside that year, we come back and make it right.

I am Sebastian Moreno Rivera, the owner, and I run every project personally. The license, CSLB #1113888 (Class B General Building and C-33 Painting and Decorating), is held by the corporation, Build And Decor Construction, and I am its qualifying individual on the State record.

    What the warranty covers

The warranty covers our labor and our installation: the framing we set, the tile we laid, the fixtures we hung, the paint we applied. On a rebuild, it covers the painting the same as the framing, because both go up under the same license.

    What the manufacturers cover

Fixtures and materials carry their own manufacturers' warranties, and those run from one year to twenty-five depending on the product. On paint, our warranty covers what we apply and the manufacturer stands behind the coating itself.

At the final walkthrough you get the manuals and the warranty papers for what we installed. On a bathroom, I show you how each piece works: the shower valve, the fan timer, the floor heat.

    How a claim works

    1. Tell me. Call (949) 558-9738 or email [email protected] with the address, what failed, and a photo if you have one.

    2. I look at it. I come out, read what happened, and tell you plainly whether it is our work, a product, or something else.

    3. We fix it. If our work failed inside the year, we come back and make it right.

    4. If a product failed, the manufacturer's warranty papers you received at the walkthrough are what the maker needs, and I tell you what to send.

    The record behind the warranty

At close-out you get the warranty, the permit record and the documentation package. On a rebuild, I photograph the fire-hardening details before they are covered and hand you the record at close-out. Every shower we build gets a tested waterproofing membrane before the first tile goes up; see bathroom remodeling.

"They painted interior of home two months ago and we were satisfied with the price, work, quality, and speed so we just hired them again for exterior painting." Allison W., client review.
